Bali, Royal Temple, & Tanah Lot

Susan's Story, SE Asia, S China Sea & Down Under Cruise, Feb 2017

We had not been on the island of Bali since 2001 but have considered it one of our favorite travel destinations ever since. We are excited about spending two days here and seeing different sights. Our first stop was at a batik factory, followed by a visit to the Royal Temple, and then to the temples at Tanah Lot on rocky outcroppings over the ocean. Although a journey through a major urban area, every noninhabitated inch is taken up by Hindu temples and rice paddies. Tanah Lot was as magnificent as expected. Two world heratige sights in one day!!! /susan
