Susan's Story, SE Asia, S China Sea & Down Under Cruise, Feb 2017
We arrived at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains and visited the site of the ancient Katoomba Coal Mine in the Jamison Valley. We rode a cable car across the valley, a funicular down to the bottom, and the world's steepest railway up again to the top. We saw the Three Sisters rock formation and heard the folklore surrounding them. A wonderful escape from the heat of Sydney and we had no problems from the bush fires raging in New South Wales to the south. /susanClick a photo to view or click first photo to see a slide show.
